Dr. Ronald H. Fields, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Dr. Ronald Fields is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, and interventional cardiology. He is the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at St. Mary Medical Center and is a specialist in interventional cardiology. Dr. Fields has extensive experience in state-of-the-art procedures, such as coronary artery angioplasty and peripheral vascular interventions. He also performs a procedure that opens occluded peripheral arteries through the removal of obstructive plaque called an atherectomy.
Dr. Fields received his medical degree from The Milton S. Hershey College of Medicine. His residency and subsequent fellowship in cardiology were performed at the Letterman Army Medical Center in California where Dr. Fields was a Major in the Medical Corps of the United States Army. He distinguished himself by becoming a recipient of the major General Kenyon Joyce Research Award. He was also awarded the Meritorious Service Medal by the United States Army. Dr. Fields is very active in the community, frequently lecturing on topics related to cardiovascular disease.
